Comino Trips
The rock island of Comino is currently a bird sanctuary and nature reserve with plenty of natural rock formations and wildlife. Vey few people live on the island and there are no roads or cars on Comino but it comes alive in the summer months with the attraction of its beautiful clear waters to both locals and tourists.
Comino was named after the cumin seed that could once be found growing in Malta. It has an area of only 1.35 square miles (3.5 square km). It is rumoured that during the middle ages pirates used to shelter and hide in the ragged coastline and many isolated caves found around the island.
